Frugal Tip of the Day - Stretching Your Coffee

If you would like to save 25% on the price of your coffee (after you've already hopefully bought it on sale with coupons..you have, haven't you?), you can make a second pot by using half as much coffee on top of the used grounds. So, for example, if you make a 12 cup pot and use the recommended 6 tablespoons of coffee, you can add 3 tablespoons on top of those for another pot.

This will only work once. Believe me, I've tried to put another 3 tablespoons on top of that, and the coffee ran over the top of the basket and down the sides...ugly. Just recycle your old grounds into your garden and be done with it.

  2. Well, they're "transitioning" to Google Sites, where there is much less functionality and fewer features.
